Aren’t we all stressed? -

Let’s talk stress

Stress can be related to physical, emotional or traumatic. It can be a low level of constant stress over time OR a high, intense level over a short amount of time.

Do me a favor, GOOGLE “stress.” Just type stress and let the drop down bar show you how many other related diseases are connected to “stress.” Right away you see 10+ symptoms or diseases directly associated with stress, YET we do not make this a priority within our life.

Some common effects of stress on your body include

  • Headaches
  • Muscle pains
  • Chest pain
  • Stomach pain
  • Change in sex drive
  • Sleep problems

These may lead to

  • Feelings of overwhelm
  • Irritability
  • Anxiety
  • Lack of motivation

The Result is often

  • Over eating
  • Alcohol or drug abuse
  • Less exercise
  • Less social interaction

How do you manage stress?

I myself, a healthcare advocate am also working on my stress level with health, family and work. As a mother of 2 working, caring for my family and building a business, I often get wrapped up in my own stress and in my own world. It is important to fit “me” time into my day in order to be a better person, mother and wife.

Tip for managing a Fast-Paced Lifestyle

  1. Go for a walk
  2. Dance
  3. Breathe deeply
  4. Try yoga
  5. Spend time with loved ones
  6. Sleep until you wake naturally

Down regulating your system with breathing can change the way you feel, the way your body “feels” and how your mood is perceived.
